Communities across the state of Indiana were faced with a devastating climate crisis in august of 2026 when our state was hit with a series of severe weather events that resulted in record breaking flooding. This has left countless Hoosiers displaced and neighbors everywhere navigating urgent needs while showing immeasurable solidarity. We have gathered as many resources as possible to honor and support the strength of everyone involved. soon we will rebuild and continue fighting for a safer, more prepared future rooted in climate and community action.

On Saturday August 22nd, Pro Bono Indiana and the Indiana State Bar Association are hosting a Disaster Recovery Legal Clinic to assist residents of Indiana impacted by the recent floods. Volunteers will be assisting attendees with flood-specific issues such as insurance claims and denials, applying for government assistance, replacing government-issued documents, avoiding predatory contractors, vehicle and property recovery, and any other civil legal matter that has arisen because of the flooding.
Attendees are also welcome to get assistance from the One More Food Pantry which will be taking place at the same time. Anyone who uses the pantry will be given a chance to pick out free grocery, hygiene, and miscellaneous pantry items.
