A Significant Milestone

On Sept. 1, I reached my 10-year anniversary at Earth Charter Indiana, inspiring numerous reflections for me, along with one big party. It was an opportunity for me to be awash in gratitude, as it took so many people and so much support to get me to this decade milestone. But there was also a feeling of sadness too, as I found myself thinking about ECI founder John Gibson, and how much I still miss him.

We’re well aware that these are difficult times. From extreme climate disruption, violent conflicts, and societal upheaval, we are bombarded with bad news on a daily basis. It is daunting, yet I‘m buoyed by the work we do, and the people who do it. Our staff, coordinators, youth leaders, donors & funders, volunteers and members, are all committed to doing what we can to address the climate crisis -- and in doing so, confront all sorts of societal ills, to build a peaceful, just, and sustainable Indiana.
