Staff position: Resilient Schools Coordinator
Full Time, Based in Indianapolis, Start Date: December 1, 2019. Application Deadline: October 22, 2019 5pm EST.
This person will manage and implement the Indianapolis Thriving Schools Challenge, which provides grant money for sustainability projects and stipends for school champions in Marion County schools, K-12.
Duties include project management, hands-on assistance for school projects, community outreach, and event coordination for one or more events associated with ITSC.
This position will also assist schools in implementing sustainability projects outside the Thriving Schools Challenge, and will, overall, promote climate literacy throughout Central Indiana schools.
Additional duties include seeking grants for job position sustainability and helping with ECI’s Climate Camps and annual Climate Leadership Summit.
Knowledge and enthusiasm for place- and project-based learning, systems thinking and circular economy.
Experience or degree in education
This position is grant funded and guaranteed for one year, only.
Salary: 35,000 base, plus benefits package.
